How Does Reiki Work?

Energy flows through every living being. Stress, trauma, and daily challenges can create blockages or imbalances in that flow. Reiki helps clear those blockages, allowing energy to move freely again. With this renewed flow, your body and mind can naturally shift toward balance and healing.

During a Reiki session, your practitioner channels healing energy through light touch or by holding their hands just above your body. This process is safe, gentle, and deeply supportive for the nervous system.

What to Expect in a Reiki Session

At Sacred Light Reiki, a typical Reiki session lasts about one hour. Here’s what you can expect:

  • Intention Setting – We begin with a short conversation to understand your goals (stress relief, emotional release, physical support, or spiritual connection).

  • The Session – You’ll rest fully clothed on a comfortable treatment table while the practitioner places their hands lightly on or above specific areas of your body. Most clients feel warmth, tingling, or simply a deep sense of calm.

  • Integration – After the session, we take a few minutes to reflect on your experience and share any observations, giving you space to ground before returning to your day.
